Department of Humanities
& Social Sciences
Established in 1960, the Department has expertise in
English Language Teaching (ELT), Psychology, Rural Sociology. Currently, the
research areas in the Department, inter alia, are
communicative skills, Victorian Fiction, Indian writings in
English, Rural, Tribal and Agrarian Development and Panchayati Raj.
The Department offers 12 UG ,2 PG creditl courses together with TOEFL,
a non credit course for the
University students. The faculty members of the
Department have hitherto published over 20 books and 200 research
papers.
