The University has a well equipped Hospital which is easily accessible to all the people of the university. Services of ayurvedic and homeopahtic doctors is also available in the campus.

In outdoor, students are charged a token money of Rs.1/- as registration fee for 15 days while staff and their dependents are charged Rs.5/- and non University patients are charged Rs.20/- as registration fee.

All services available in OPD are free of cost.

ECG facility for cardiac patients is available round the clock.

Dispensary: medicines of renowned companies are distributed free of cost from the counter.

E.N.T. : Medical Officer In charge who is also ENT surgeon, in addition to his duties as in charge is providing services to general as well as ENT Patients through the diagnostic and curative work and operative work with audiometry for hearing Aid. Facility of audiometry, Facility of visiting anesthetist is available on demand for operations.

Lady medical officer : Routine delivery and gynaecological work have been carried out. Pediatric bed and separate nebulization facility for the neonates have been started; apart from the photo therapy unit which is functioning properly for neonatal care. Treats lady patients with gynecological problems and also performs deliveries.

Eye Department : A full fledged eye department having computerized eye unit, automated tonometry, autorefractrometer, slit lamp. Synaptophore, a-scan, operating microscope microscope etc is providing routine check up as well as cataract operations through lartest phaco techniques.

Dental department : Advanced Facility of dental X-rays, Ultrasonic scaling, cosmetic fillings, air rotor etc are provided in this department.

Ambulance facilities:

Facility of three ambulances + one Cardiac ambulance is also available for transportation of seriously ill students from their hostel to the Hospital and on the request of Warden concerned for transportation to and outside hospital, if necessary.

Cardiac Ambulance is Airconditioned and equipped with Oxygenerator, Pulse Oxymeter, Defibrilator.


Investigation facilities:

The facility of limited pathological investigation is available at University hospital. The facility of Plain X-ray is available at he college of Veterinary and Animal Sciences.

Investigation and distribution of free medicines for tuberculosis is done through DOTS programme of central govt.


Prophylactic Measures:

Immunization and vaccinations are performed every Wednesday through Uttarakhand health department.


Indoor ward facilities:

The University hospital has a 50 bedded indoor with separate indoor facilities for male and female students in the male as well as female wings where the University students are kept under observation for a short period. Those needing prolonged hospitalization are referred and shifted to Shifted to Sushila Tewari Govt Medical College Hospital, Haldwani (Nainital), Sri Rammoorti Samarak Medical College, Bareilly, for needful treatment as per University rules. Emergency services are available round the clock. Separate VIP ward and general wads for University staff are also available. Free medicines are distributed.


Other Indoor ward facilities:

  • Cashless treatment facility to students is available at Sri Rammoorti Samarak Medical College, Bareilly.
  • Reimbursement facility up to Rs. 10,000/- is available for University employees and their dependents.
  • Routine health Awarness programmes are held through pamphlets, health camps in schools, farms, kisan mela and hostel.
  • MOU has been done with Bombay Hospital, Haldwani.
  • MOU has been done with Brij Lal Multispeciality Hospital, Haldwani and Krishna Hospital, Haldwani for treatment with special discounts. MOU with other hospitals are in progress.
  • Death and Birth registration office has been established by Uttrakhand Government to register and issue Death and Birth certificates.

  • Blood Donation camps, ENT AND Eye operation camps, Dental Check up camps, Hemoglobin ckeckup camps are routine features.
