ABSTRACT

Studies were carried out to evaluate the toxicity of monocrotophos, alphamethrin and endosulfan against Italian honeybee A. mellifera at 10 min exposure period .The LC50 values obtained were 35.33 ppm, 62.15 ppm and 363.16 ppm, respectively. Based on relative toxicity tests, endosulfan was found to be least toxic among synthetic insecticides to honeybees as compared to monocrotophos and alphamethrin.
